Мы вскоре свяжемся с Вами!
For the 22nd time Regional Student Convention will open its doors to the children and adults of the C.I.S. and the Baltic States. For 6 days in March a picturesque place of Moscow Region - resort place Voronovo - we will live an absolutely different life! For 6 days it will be bubbling with unlimited energy of participants of the most exciting children’s forum!
Regional Conventions are a challenging, inspirational, and fun-filled destination where students develop God-given gifts and talents in preparation for a dynamic ministry. Select from over 100 events in five exciting categories including Music, Speech/Drama, Athletics, Arts, and Academics. These conventions are for youth 9 years of age and older.
Student Convention includes events in Academics, Athletics, Exhibits, Music, and Platform. Choose events that will best develop your gifts and talents for Christian service. Your parents and supervisors may also suggest new areas where they see potential in your life.
A wise man said, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” The Conventions Guidelines is your key to successful planning. With it, you and your supervisor can plan and schedule the steps you need to follow to make your entry the best it can be.
When you have selected your event, seek the advice of Godly adults in your family and church who have expertise in your chosen area. They can give you valuable advice that will help you prepare.
If possible, practice in a setting similar to actual competition. Ask your pastor if you can practice before a group at your church or school. This will accustom you to performing before a group and will help you test the effectiveness of your entry.
As you prepare, pray that your performance will bring glory to the Lord. Also, pray that Student Convention will be a blessing to you and the others who attend. Pray that lives will be transformed and that many will commit their lives to His service.
Over the last years that we’ve had Regional Student Convention, we’ve watched many students come year after year. We’ve been amazed to see their growth both physically and emotionally. We have watched these students perform, compete, praise, play, laugh, cry and eat. We have judged their work, encouraged them to do their best, rejoiced with them, and many times felt their wild elation and frustrated or disappointed tears. In other words, we have developed relationships and stored memories. Good memories. Memories that will last and be recalled often.
Pace bowl…soccer kick, puppet shows, one-act plays, dramatic monologues, chess, checkers, artwork. Fun night. Awards ceremony. Butterflies in stomachs, forgotten lines, sweaty palms, team victory, noisy, jubilant rallies, special guests, and a hundred other things. These are all the things that Student Convention is about. A lot of work? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Unequivocally yes!
I learned so much about my own talents! Warm atmosphere, many activities, tasty food, comfortable dorms, and very interesting events! I really want to come here next year!
At the Convention we can do something special to prove that we can do our best!
I found it truly amazing that children from different countries, nationalities and cultures not only communicated with one another easily, but also became friends! Only the Holy Spirit could touch their hearts in this way, pouring in so much love for one another and respect for their teachers.
As I looked at the performance events I saw a lot of hard work from the majority of the students but some will have to start earlier with their preparation and realize that it takes a year to get to do good and more conventions to get to be excellent. Some students also did not follow the guidelines given in the Convention Manual and will need to look at that in future.
It was truly an unforgettable week, and I thank God that He gave me the opportunity to be a part of the RSC experience in Russia. All students should be encouraged not to miss out on the REGIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION!
