24th Regional Student convention

“To everything there is a time” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

International School of Tomorrow is organizing the 24th Regional Student Convention for schools using the School of Tomorrow program. RSC 2020-2021 will be conducted October 12, 2020 through April 15, 2021, in distance format and with two stages.

Welcome to RSC!

The RSC Opening Ceremony is scheduled to be held in ZOOM format on October 15, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. Moscow time.
During the Opening Ceremony, we will announce the winners in the following categories, which were judged last March before RSC 2020:
- written works in English;
- Photography;
- Power Point Presentations;
- Website Design.




















RSC Stages

Fall stage:


The following events are on the program for the Fall stage:






For the Fall stage, a participant may present a maximum of 4 entries.



The beginning date for registration of participants and their entries for the Fall stage remains to be announced.
All entries are to be uploaded to the RSC program and/or to internet resources.
The final date for submission of entries for the Fall competition is December 11, 2020.
The judging period for the Fall stage is December 12-28, 2020.
The Fall stage Awards Ceremony will be organized in ZOOM format and held not later than January 29, 2021.





Spring stage:


The following events are on the program for the Spring stage:








For the Spring stage, a participant may present a maximum of 6 entries.



Entries may be submitted for the Spring stage from January 15 through March 1, 2021.
The judging period for the Spring stage is March 1-30, 2021.
The Fall stage Awards Ceremony will be organized in ZOOM format and held not later than April 15, 2021.

Some Music and Platform Division entries may be judged over ZOOM.
The cost of individual participation is 1000 rubles.
The cost of school participation (unlimited number of students) is 15000 rubles.
All payments should be made no later than December 1, 2020; access to the registration program must be preceded by payment.
Students are eligible for participation in this Convention if they were 9 years old or older by September 30, 2020, but were not past 18 years of age by this same date.
Students compete in two age groups: juniors – 9-12 years old, seniors – 13-18 years old. (The student’s age as of September 30, 2020, determines their age category.)
At the conclusion of the Spring and Fall stages of the Convention, two outstanding students of each age category will be awarded the honorable titles of The Boy of Convention 2021 and The Girl of Convention 2021.

Feedback from last years participants


Over the last years that we’ve had Regional Student Convention, we’ve watched many students come year after year. We’ve been amazed to see their growth both physically and emotionally. We have watched these students perform, compete, praise, play, laugh, cry and eat. We have judged their work, encouraged them to do their best, rejoiced with them, and many times felt their wild elation and frustrated or disappointed tears. In other words, we have developed relationships and stored memories. Good memories. Memories that will last and be recalled often.

Pace bowl…soccer kick, puppet shows, one-act plays, dramatic monologues, chess, checkers, artwork. Fun night. Awards ceremony. Butterflies in stomachs, forgotten lines, sweaty palms, team victory, noisy, jubilant rallies, special guests, and a hundred other things. These are all the things that Student Convention is about. A lot of work? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Unequivocally yes!

I found it truly amazing that children from different countries, nationalities and cultures not only communicated with one another easily, but also became friends! Only the Holy Spirit could touch their hearts in this way, pouring in so much love for one another and respect for their teachers.

As I looked at the performance events I saw a lot of hard work from the majority of the students but some will have to start earlier with their preparation and realize that it takes a year to get to do good and more conventions to get to be excellent. Some students also did not follow the guidelines given in the Convention Manual and will need to look at that in future.

It was truly an unforgettable week, and I thank God that He gave me the opportunity to be a part of the RSC experience in Russia. All students should be encouraged not to miss out on the REGIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION!

Стоимость индивидуального участия в Олимпиаде - 1000 рублей.

Стоимость участия школы при неограниченном количестве участников - 15000 рублей.

Оплата участия в Олимпиаде производится не позднее 1 декабря 2020 года, но обязательно перед получением возможности регистрации в программе олимпиады.

К участию в Олимпиаде допускаются школьники, возраст которых по состоянию на 30 сентября 2020 года составляет не менее 9, но не старше 18 лет.

Дети с 9 до 12 лет попадают в младшую возрастную группу.

Дети с 13 до 18 лет попадают в старшую возрастную группу.
